Nonabolitionists present animal advocacy in a fallacious way. They say our choices are to:
1) Advocate according to a moral philosophy (and be ineffective).


2) Actually help animals.

That is a false choice. We advocate according to a moral philosophy *TO* actually help animals.

It is speciesism that causes animal advocates to abandon the ethical position of veganism, the only thing that protects animals from exploitation and use, in favor of supposedly actually helping animals. It makes no sense to say abandoning an ethical position is better for the victims of exploitation.
